Hi all, I'm home from Arizona, to gray skies of Michigan. It's fall and the leaves are turning and dieing as always. But I'm glad to be home.
Being in classes at Kaplan is opening up a new world for me. I haven't been working for awhile, just volunteering for hospice, the animal shelter, and of course the grandkids. I was surfing the internet last year and came across Kaplan and decided to investigate. So here I am working on my medical assistant associates degree. I have always loved medicine and have nursed many family members.
I feel like my brain has come alive and now there are many possibilities. I have always wanted to work with premature babies. When I am finished with the associates degree, I will see if that is possible. I'm an older student and I can't waste any time.
My husband died in 2006, since then I am home most of the time. I was bored and lonely. I'm not ready to do nothing all day. That is why I thought about going back to school. And here I am!
Attending classes again has made me feel intelligent and alive. I believe I can do anything I want to. I'm making good grades and learning so much. I am positive now and feel good about myself. I am very glad I looked into classes on line at Kaplan.
Hi Janice,
ReplyDeleteThat's great!
As they say "don't stop moving until you can't move at all". We must continue to learn and to better ourselves because the time is constantly changing and we must keep up, otherwise, we are going to get left behind.
I am studying the same degree as you are. I have never worked in it at all, but I am looking forward to working in this career field.
I've have always wanted to work in the medical field and I have always wanted to earn a degree and the Lord and Kaplan University has given me the chance of my life-time and I thank God for this opportunity.
I am looking forward to my clinicals so that I can make new friends, learn new things about my degree, and plus this will be as a miny vacation away from my current job.
I pray that all goes Well With You!
